Job summary

A leading energy company in Saskatchewan is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the Powerline Technician Apprenticeship program. The role involves outdoor and physically demanding work to repair and maintain power lines. Successful candidates will complete a four-year apprenticeship to obtain an Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate. Candidates must meet specific entrance requirements and be able to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Entrance requirements as per the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.

Responsibilities

• Learn to construct, repair and maintain power pole lines and underground cable systems.
• Work under supervision in all types of weather.
• Handle large, bulky materials or equipment.

Education

Saskatchewan equivalent grade 12
