About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Site Operations & Maintenance and working with the Trades Team Lead, the Plumber is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and related equipment, the renovations and installation of new equipment within Nova Scotia Health.

Repairs, replaces and upgrades mechanical systems and equipment such as water systems, sprinklers, HVAC systems, medical gas systems, plumbing systems, hot water heating, steam hearing, convertors and condensate systems.

About You
  • Grade 12/GED required.
  • Completed Two years plumbing program.
  • Nova Scotia Journeyman Plumbing Certification is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Plumbing is required.
  • Experience required in building construction, operation and maintenance of institutional facilities.
  • Travel to other sites may be required. Access to a reliable vehicle is required.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
