Job Overview:

IIQAF Group is seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician (Hospitality Sector) to manage electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work across hotels, resorts, restaurants, and hospitality facilities in Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial and hospitality electrical systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and code‑compliant operations.

This role is essential to maintaining uninterrupted guest services and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, lighting, and power distribution
  • Perform electrical maintenance in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and commercial hospitality properties
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, wiring issues, and equipment failures
  • Conduct preventive and scheduled electrical maintenance
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and safety standards
  • Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns when required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service reports
  • Coordinate with facility managers and maintenance teams
  • Follow all health, safety, and hospitality compliance regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Electrician / Maintenance Electrician / Commercial Electrician
  • Experience working in the hospitality or commercial sector
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuits, and controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues efficiently
  • Familiarity with Canadian electrical regulations and safety practices
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Electrician certification or provincial electrician license
  • Experience in hotel or resort electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, generators, and building automation
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or on‑call rotations
