Job description
Overview

Building on our past. Ready for the future Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Purpose: We are currently recruiting for a Plant Operations Manager. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Bowmanville, Ontario. The Candidate will conduct a comprehensive review of the Work Requests (WRs), Work Orders (WOs), and the layup plan to identify any discrepancies or gaps between the WOs and the layup plan. Draft Layup Plan will be provided as shown in Section (A3).

  • The Candidate will use ROOMS to locate all WO/WR related to the layup plan.
  • The Candidate will identify all WOs that are not set to approved.
  • The Candidate will identify new WOs required to identify any gaps found.
Responsibilities
  • The Candidate will review WOs to confirm that necessary holds are properly established.
  • In cases where holds are missing, the contractor will communicate with OPG to ensure that appropriate holds are placed where required.
  • To support the assessment process and facilitate the clearance of holds, the Candidate will provide marked-up flowsheets for use by the assessors.
  • Prior to preparing any draft instructions related to an Order To Operate (OTO), the contractor will submit a list of recommended OTOs to OPG for review. This step is intended to prevent potential overlap with engineering holds, which are managed separately by the OPG Engineering team.
  • If an OTO is recommended, the contractor will then prepare a draft set of instructions that assessors can use to create the OTO.
  • Similarly, before finalizing a Technical Procedure Action Request (TPAR), the Candidate will provide the documentation, including detailed markups to OPG for review.
  • This is to identify any potential overlap with engineering holds. If a TPAR is recommended, the contractor will then initiate and submit the TPAR.
  • Recommendations should be fit for purpose, cost-effective, and time-efficient.

  • List of recommended WO/WR to be initiated by OPG - based on the gaps identified in item (1) above.
  • List of the presence and adequacy of holds, including identification of any missing holds.
  • List of recommendations
    • Identify where OTO will be sufficient to execute the work.
    • Identify where TPAR will be required to execute the work.
    • Identify other mechanisms to execute the work.
  • Marked-up flowsheets draft to assist assessors in hold clearance.
  • Draft OTO instructions and a list of recommended OTOs submitted to OPG for review.
