Job summary

A healthcare provider in Toronto is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist for their Rehabilitation Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. The role involves assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for patients, and supervising assistants. Candidates should be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and have strong clinical skills. Experience in interdisciplinary education and treatment is preferred. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary between CAD $46.48 and $57.98 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • 1 year of experience in treatment of clients/patients is preferred.
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions for patients.
  • Compile documentation of physiotherapy activities.
  • Record workload measurements.
  • Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants.
  • Participate in inter-professional clinics and discussions.
  • Mentor colleagues as appropriate.

Job Description

Sinai Health is looking for aPhysiotherapist to support our Rehabilitation Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The duties of this staff Physiotherapists are primarily clinical. The caseload for this role will primarily support patients in General Internal Medicine but could also include other inpatient areas.

In this role you will:
  • Assess, planand provide therapeutic intervention for an assigned patient caseload according to physiotherapy scope of practice.
  • Compile appropriate documentation of physiotherapy activities
  • Record workload measurement
  • SupervisePhysiotherapy Assistants as per college guidelines
  • Participate in inter-professional clinics, rounds and discussions
  • Participate in teaching students from other disciplines
  • Mentorfellow colleagues, if appropriate
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required
Job Requirements

Mandatory

  • Currently registered and in good standing with the with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Strong experience in interdisciplinary education

Preferred

  • 1 year of experience in the treatment of clients/patients
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent physiotherapy clinical skills with a broad variety of diagnostic groups including skills working with a geriatric population
  • Experience and skill in complex decision making processes and in advancing best practice initiatives and exploration of innovative models of care
  • Experience in self-reflective learning and skill in ability to adapt and respond effectively to change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional, diplomatic and confident with a proven ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
