What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Technician performs technical duties, including preparing and processing prescriptions, directing the care of patients, and filling and checking prescriptions. They must also employ a high degree of direct patient contact, which is a crucial element in developing a strong patient experience and positive health outcomes.
The Provincial Regulatory Body limits duties that the Pharmacy Tech is authorized to perform, and the Pharmacy Tech must abide by such at all times.

Who You Are
You are looking for a career in Pharmacy and:
- You are registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
- You possess excellent internal and external customer service skills, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and strong attention to detail.
- You are self-reliant, goal-oriented, and able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.
- You possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
- Demonstrated computer and word processing skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) is an asset
- Knowledge of Kroll is an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.

Availability: Full availability, days required, evenings required and weekends required.
