The DRCC Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy services to oncology patients including: preparing safe and accurate sterile antineoplastic drug doses; preparing other dosage forms for use in the treatment of oncology patients; dispensing clinical trial medications as appropriate and dispensing outpatient prescriptions through the retail pharmacy service; assisting in the acquisition of drugs for the chemotherapy pharmacy satellite and retail pharmacy including maintaining adequate stock levels and conducting inventory, assisting patients in getting medication coverage and accessing compassionate drugs; other duties as assigned.
The DRCC Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy services to oncology patients including preparing sterile antineoplastic drug doses and other dosage forms; dispensing clinical trial medications as appropriate; dispensing outpatient prescriptions through the retail pharmacy service; assisting in the acquisition of drugs for the chemotherapy pharmacy satellite and retail pharmacy including maintaining stock levels and conducting inventory; assisting patients in obtaining medication coverage and compassionate drugs; and performing other duties as assigned.
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
