Job description

At Findlay's Drug Store, we are committed to offering our community the highest level of service and care. Independent and locally owed, Findlay's Drug Store is located in the heart of Temiskaming Shores and has served the area since 1906. With a store that covers over 9000 square feet, we truly believe that Findlay's is a one stop shop with areas that include a Pharmacy, Cosmetics and Fashion, Giftware and Home Health.

Findlay’s specializes in meeting the needs of our customers, reaching an area from Englehart to Temagami and into Québec. We have a large Dispensary and Dispill Department along with a Home Health area that offers anything from diabetic supplies and testing kits to support stockings and back braces. Ongoing staff training to achieve new skills and the knowledge required to serve our customers has always been Bruce’s commitment.

Responsibilities
  • Practice within all federal/provincial legal requirements
  • Provide counseling on prescriptions, over/behind the counter products
  • Ensure accuracy and clinical appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals within the community to providepatient care
  • Dispense methadone to patients
  • Able to provide services under the expanded scope of practice (i.e. minor ailment prescribing)
  • Able to work days, evenings, and weekends
Education and Experience
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Injection Certification
  • Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software is an asset
  • Understanding and knowledge of non-sterile compounding also an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset
