A healthcare facility in Nova Scotia seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to ensure safe and effective drug therapy. The role involves overseeing drug distribution systems, supervising pharmacy staff, and providing clinical pharmacy services. Successful candidates must hold a relevant Pharmacy degree, be licensed in Nova Scotia, and preferably have clinical experience in a hospital setting. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services, the Pharmacist is responsible to ensure safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems (inpatient and outpatient), supervising pharmacy support staff and identifying and resolving drug-related problems. The Pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy services including drug regimen review, medication reconciliation, pharmacokinetic monitoring, individual and group patient medication teaching, drug information and educational programs. Pharmacists work on selected medical services, participate in medical rounds, provide discharge medication calendars and counselling to patients and make therapeutic recommendations to the medical team. The Pharmacist may be required to participate in the orientation and training of Pharmacy Students and other hospital personnel.

$49.42 - $61.74 Hourly
