SUMMARY:
Manage pharmacy operations during your shift, providing consultations to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to the full scope of professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting with dispensary maintenance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide pharmacy and customer service, acknowledging all customers approaching the pharmacy.
Practice within federal, provincial, and legal requirements, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
Offer counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
Practice to the full extent of your professional scope, supporting expanded services.
Be identifiable to the public and ensure accuracy in dispensed prescriptions.
Communicate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive customer care.
Maintain records in compliance with legislation, standards, and policies.
Workflow and Inventory Management:
Control access to the dispensary respecting inventory and confidentiality.
Review workflow queues daily and manage stock levels, including expired inventory and medication orders.
Ensure compliance with regulations regarding controlled substances and report to authorities as required.
Operations:
Maintain the appearance of workstations and areas to reflect a professional image.
Participate in financial reporting and respond to store communications.
File incident reports for medication or privacy incidents.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to think independently and make decisions.
Ability to plan, coordinate, delegate, and coach colleagues.
Proven ability to drive business growth and support enterprise programs.
Exceptional customer service and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in action planning.
Knowledge of pharmacy systems and personal computing skills are assets.
Adherence to health and safety procedures, with ongoing training as needed.
