A local wellness organization in Sioux Lookout seeks a Youth Mental Health Counsellor to support students experiencing mental health challenges. The role involves evaluating students' needs, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote well-being. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work and experience in youth mental health are required. This position offers a modified schedule aligned with the school calendar.
YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELLOR
Pelican Falls Wellness Centre, Sioux Lookout, Ontario
Pelican Falls Wellness Centre (PFWC) and Pelican Falls First Nations High School (PFFNHS) in Sioux Lookout require one full-time Youth Mental Health Counsellor to support students attending PFFNHS. The Youth Mental Health Counsellor will interact closely with students to support and identify mental and/or emotional concerns that students face and ensure that a proper support work alongside them through those challenges. This position will have a modified work schedule through the school calendar, salary will be prorated over the full year (26 pay periods).
