Qualifications

• Your Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent.
• Current and valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Proof of a negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
• Strong English communication skills; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care to patients in their homes.
• Work closely with the local care team to promote health and independence.
• Travel within Chatham-Kent to provide care.

Skills

Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Reliability and strong organization skills

Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.

Ability to communicate in French

Education

Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Your Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent:
  • Valid Certificate as Home Support Worker, I, II or III, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker; Or
  • Students currently enrolled (post first year) in health care programs such as Nursing (RN or RPN), Rehab, Para Medicine; Or
  • A valid certificate as an RN, RPN, Practical Nurse, Midwife, or Physician (domestic or internationally trained)
• Current and valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) Certification
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months
• Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up‑to‑date immunization record
• Ability to travel from home to home within the community- a valid driver's license, vehicle and car insurance is required for this role
  • Travel required within Chatham-Kent
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills required; the ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)
