Role: Personal Insurance Advisor
Summary of Position

Through this role you will serve clients in all of their personal insurance needs. Your primary focus will be on sales and service of new and renewal habitational, travel and automobile insurance, maintaining a high level of client focus and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and service of all types of Personal Insurance (habitational, travel, automobile).
  • Follow through on leads assigned to the retail branch and generate leads for other divisions.
  • Contact clients on renewal and ensure policies are processed and issued accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Update client information as changes occur and provide policy and coverage advice upon request.
  • Ensure administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and that client needs are served promptly.
  • Handle and resolve client concerns proactively.
  • Achieve sales and retention goals.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of Personal Lines and Auto products, systems, procedures and competitor offerings.
  • Stay connected to HUB International’s mission, values and strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance company, Insurance Council of BC and Privacy Act rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain one.
  • Minimum 1 year personal insurance experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Sales drive and initiative.
  • Experience underwriting and binding in-house habitational insurance product (asset).
  • Industry designation (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma) – asset but not required.
