Position Summary: Provides Human Resources/People Services to all levels of the organization and acts as a front‑line management contact and partner to employees and management in areas specific to staffing, recruitment and selection, policy and procedures, employee relations, and performance management and improvement programs. It also supports the organization in attendance, disability, and claims management, coordinating occupational and non‑occupational accident/injuries (STD/LTD, WCB & MPIC) including all aspects of the claims management system and return‑to‑work programs. Coordination of health issues regarding early and safe return‑to‑work programs.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinates and administers the recruitment and selection process including approvals, determining method of recruitment, preparation of job postings/advertisements, schedule and conduct interviews, reference checks, and prepare and negotiate employment offers.
  • Assist in maintaining the recruitment database, track recruitment tasks and statistics of recruitment.
  • Maintain and update human resource information systems and benefit systems with employee data including new hire, classification changes, wage/salary changes, and termination information.
  • Assist with the collection compliance and review of Employee Performance Reviews and salary administration information.
  • Assist in the development and rollout of required Human Resources policies and procedures. Review of Human Resources policies and procedures for required updates.
  • Lead the administration and coordination of occupational and non‑occupational illness and injury with providers including STD, LTD and MPI claims. Facilitate appropriate interventions for safe and timely re‑integration into the workplace.
  • Accurately complete and submit all documentation for claims processing and status changes in monitoring systems. Notify payroll of changes as required.
  • Act as a point of contact for claims management related inquiries from employees and management.
  • As subject material expert, provide guidance regarding disability management issues and employee claims status. Facilitate training for claims management system and return‑to‑work programs.
  • Liaise with medical community, MPI, STD/LTD provider on claim information and return‑to‑work coordination.
  • Report and track WCB, STD, LTD and MPI claims management; create and distribute reports as required.
  • Work closely with employees and management to coordinate and assist in facilitating early and safe return‑to‑work opportunities for employees, utilizing the return‑to‑work accommodation program.
What We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); experience with Workable is a strong asset
  • Post‑secondary education in a related Human Resources field considered an asset
  • 2–3 years of HR experience, with a focus on recruitment and selection, as well as disability management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized with strong problem‑solving, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail
