GHD has an immediate opportunity for a People Leader, Canada. This role will oversee the Canadian region, serve on the Canada Leadership Team, and can be based in the GTA, Montreal, or Vancouver. The position involves providing strategic and operational HR advice, implementing HR best practices, and supporting regional business objectives.

Our Hybrid Work Model allows you to collaborate in-office three days a week, fostering a vibrant and flexible work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership
  • Develop growth strategies aligned with Canadian business goals, anticipating HR needs and creating scalable HR processes for a growing workforce.
  • Collaborate with the Executive General Manager, Canada, to define business priorities.
  • Work with Regional General Manager and Center of Excellence on development and succession planning.
  • Lead organizational structure design during high growth periods.
  • Analyze talent data to inform training and development priorities.
  • Promote Inclusion and Diversity through partnerships with ERGs and the Center of Excellence.
  • Partner with business leaders on operational matters.
  • Manage performance processes and follow-up actions for the region.
People Leadership
  • Lead and motivate the local team to meet People KPIs, aligning processes with core values and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure effective execution of People operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Implement systems to improve People efficiency and employee experience.
  • Monitor People metrics to evaluate initiatives and drive improvements.
  • Ensure regional People processes comply with policies and legal requirements.
What You Will Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience with systems, processes, and challenges.
  • Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set objectives (10+ years).
  • Proven success managing during high growth and designing organizational structures.
  • Ability to foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Client-focused mindset.
  • Ability to align leadership and business groups with strategic goals.
