We are currently in search of a detail-driven and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable payroll legislation and internal policies across our workforce.

This position is well suited for someone looking to build a career in payroll and finance within a fast-paced, project-based environment. Success in this role is demonstrated through absolute accuracy, strong time management, discretion when handling sensitive information, and consistent adherence to established payroll processes.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support payroll processing requirements
  • Review and verify payroll inputs, timesheets, and employee data for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with payroll calculations, including regular wages, overtime, allowances, bonuses, deductions, and taxable benefits
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready payroll records
  • Support the preparation and submission of ROEs, T4s, and other statutory filings
  • Assist with payroll accounting activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accruals
  • Act as a first point of contact for basic payroll inquiries and escalate issues as required
  • Support benefits and retirement plan administration
  • Other duties as assigned
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business is preferred
  • Previous experience in payroll administration, finance, or a related role is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable learning and working within payroll, accounting, and HRIS systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Experience in a project-based or multi-jurisdictional environment is considered an asset
  • Willingness to work toward a Payroll Compliance Professional designation is considered an asset
Compensation

In compliance with Ontario’s Pay Transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 CAD per year, based on skills, experience, and qualifications. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
