Overview

Voyago is hiring a Payroll Administrator based in London, Ontario.

Your Role: Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Administrator will work as part of a team to support all aspects of the payroll cycle for multiple companies and operational divisions, processing pay and remittances in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Company policies and government legislation and guidelines.

This is an on-site position based in our London office.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Services
  • Prepare, verify, and process all pay-related transactions including regular pay, applicable premiums, retroactive adjustments, benefit payments and special payments
  • Maintain and update employee status information in the HRIS/Payroll system including hires, terminations or other changes
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, manage payroll records and ADP Workforce Now system information
  • Prepare and calculate manual EFTs as required
  • Ensure all data files are complete for transmission to ADP
  • Prepare and submit payroll deductions and remittances on a timely basis and ensure records are up to date
  • Create reports from payroll or time and attendance system
  • Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, Records of Employment and other statements
  • Reconcile annual filing reports and monthly General Ledger accounts
  • Prepare statutory forms such as T4, T4(A), ROE and address Service Canada/Service Ontario inquiries
  • Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, etc.
HRIS Administration
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained via accurate security access assignment to users
  • Maintain and update employee information in the HRIS/Payroll system, including demographic records, compensation details, attendance, leaves of absence, overtime, and other data to calculate pay and benefit entitlements
Government Correspondence
  • Respond to internal client inquiries about payroll related matters in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the Payroll Supervisor in responses to the Canada Revenue Agency regarding remittances, T4 values, annual PIER report or other required investigations or audits
Requirements
Your Profile
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing the full payroll cycle
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or another relevant field
  • Canadian Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Designation (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, or another payroll/HRIS product
  • Experience with multi-union payroll is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, Provincial Employment Standards (ON & MB), taxation guidelines and year end reporting processes
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and proficiency with payroll software programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide a Clean Criminal record search
