Responsibilities

Payroll and Benefits Coordination

  • Collect relevant information to process employee payroll and enter required data (e.g., timesheets, commissions, bonuses, new hires and terminations);
  • Collaborate with our outsourced payroll partners;
  • Ensure employee records are updated in all systems related to payroll and benefits;
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits;
  • Actively participate in month-end processes (e.g., reports, remittances) and year-end processes (e.g., forms, calendars);
  • Prepare various reconciliation files for payroll and accounting;
  • Produce required documents such as employment confirmation letters;
  • Support the year-end process;
  • Prepare documents needed for benefits administration such as employment insurance, short-term and long-term disability claims;
  • Employee Experience
  • Actively participate in managing certain HR processes;
  • Respond to employee questions related to department policies;
  • Take part in various departmental projects;
  • Perform other related tasks within the pay and HR department;
The Profile We Are Looking For
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a payroll administration-related role;
  • College diploma (DEC) in Accounting and Management or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Bilingual in English and French to collaborate on files across Canada;
  • Known for your attention to detail, thoroughness, integrity, and honesty;
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines;
  • Enjoy working in a team environment;
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (an asset);
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations (an asset);
