Job Title: Shaheen Parts Warehouse Driver

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain a high level of grooming, shaven and uniform appearance.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service to all parts customers.
  • Drive in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Write up all returns for credits daily.
  • Receive cores and warranty parts for credits daily.
  • Actively solicit new customers daily.
  • Report stock discrepancies to manager daily.
  • Load and pull parts for deliveries for the day.
  • Inspect shipments at loading and unloading for damage and quantity daily.
  • Stock all parts in correct bin and location daily.
  • May be required to perform other duties and tasks as directed by management.
  • Make sure all invoices are signed and/or payment is received before part is given to the customer daily.
  • Inform management of any complaints customers have with our parts department daily.
  • Tie down and secure any loose freight in the truck before you start your deliveries daily.
  • Check invoices when done pulling parts to verify you have all the parts for that order daily.
  • Mark all parts with I.D. tags if necessary for customers daily.
  • Deliver all receipts, cash, checks, and credits information to the wholesale parts salesmen responsible for that customer daily.
  • Place truck keys in the key box at the end of the day.
  • Gas cards can be obtained from management and must be returned with a receipt the same day.
  • Assist in physical inventory annually.
  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Check with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counterperson, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
  • Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
