Position: Partnership Sales Manager

Department: Corporate Partnerships

Reports to: Director, Corporate Partnerships

Position Summary

The Partnership Sales Manager, a member of the Corporate Partnership sales team, will be tasked with hunting and developing new business opportunities with prospective corporate partners. The incumbent will be responsible for new prospecting outreach while also responding to partnership inquiries in order to develop fully integrated partnerships and achieve business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for new business development and achieving sales revenue targets for the Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Esports
  • Procure new business partnerships with local and national brands and organizations through presentation of customized solutions to secure fully integrated partnerships, including in-arena and broadcast signage, scoreboard features, retail promotions, supply agreements, digital advertising, etc.
  • Create innovative strategies and concepts to deliver value for new partnership opportunities
  • Uncover partner objectives, present solutions, and negotiate with partners to finalize agreements while collaborating with internal CSE departments
  • Work with management to ensure prospects fit CSE brand standards and that the proposed solution is satisfactory to all stakeholders
  • Deliver a high level of service to all prospective partners and current partners
  • Engage with individuals at the leadership level, developing relationships and communicating prospective solutions
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process through CRM to ensure full organizational visibility for lead management, proposal development, approvals, and sales reporting
  • Participate in and contribute to sales team meetings and training sessions
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as sports management or business
  • At least 3 years of professional sales experience; experience in the sports industry a strong asset
  • Demonstrated creativity in the development of innovative and effective sales campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent problem‑solving and negotiating skills
  • Energetic self‑starter personality with the ability to function in a fast‑paced environment, handle multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the proven ability to master new software programs, such as customised Microsoft CRM
  • Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • This is an on‑site role at our office in downtown Vancouver
