POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a bi-lingual (Spanish) Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Monticello, MN. This is a year round, onsite position offering 24-30 hours per week. You can set your own schedule (within regular business hours, M-F).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. This position will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Strong administrative skills and attention to detail is critical. If you have that, we can train you on the HR skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(comprehensive, but not limited to):

Human Resources & Safety

  • Assist in the coordination of HR & Safety projects and processes for all locations, including translations of communication (written & oral) from English to Spanish.
  • Be the liaison between company personnel and our Spanish speaking employees.
  • Work closely with the VP of HR on the H2A program and maintain accurate and up to date documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork for employee files, payroll, LOA’s, unemployment, etc.
  • Coordinate and plan special employee events and community events.
  • Assist with special projects and provide other support to other departments as needed.
  • Asist HR team in the recruiting efforts to fill seasonal roles.
  • Source applicants by using traditional and non-traditional recruiting methods to attract seasonal employees.
  • Assist in screening and interviewing seasonal applicants and on-board new hires.

Office Administration

  • Be the first point of contact for Dan & Jerry’s Greenhouses’ customers and employees. Behave and maintain a professional image.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and walk-ins and re-direct as appropriate.
  • Provide general office administration to support all employees.
  • Monitor office supplies and re-order as needed.
  • Assist and be the back-up for the logistic coordinator role.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-3 years office or HR experience.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a must.
  • Proficient with PC’s and Office Suite software –Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience working with an HR/Payroll software preferred.

The position requires a balance of sitting/office work and walking/standing to the greenhouses (production area). The production environment at times can be warm.
