Job description
Overview

As a member of the IT Team, the A/V Technician will ensure the setup and tear down of broadcast and corporate A/V equipment. Additionally, the A/V Technician will complete patching on live event days and provide support during live events for the Stadium, Arena as well as any support for smaller corporate events taking place onsite.

AV Responsibilities
  • Work with internal and external parties to ensure proper setup of A/V systems before and during events.
  • Provide hands-on game-day support to the senior A/V techs.
  • Assist with broadcast camera setup for live events as directed.
  • A/V set up and operation for press conference, staff meetings and corporate client events.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with staff and venue production teams with a focus on excellent customer service and venue system technical expertise.
  • Assist with A/V infrastructure maintenance and repair as directed by the senior A/V techs.
IT Responsibilities
  • Assist with general IT networking systems that integrate with A/V systems such IPTV, IP Networking, Network/VLAN patching knowledge.
  • PC knowledge – MS Office 365, Windows 10/11, display extending.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
What’s Needed
  • Degree or diploma in relevant field or acceptable combination of skills and experience.
  • 2-5 years of operational experience of A/V systems during a broad range of live events such as national sporting events, press conferences, concerts, corporate A/V and other live entertainment.
  • Strong customer service abilities, work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Operational knowledge of digital audio mixing consoles and broadcast video switchers.
  • Understanding of broadcast streaming encoders and decoders.
  • Working knowledge of RS-232 and RS-485 serial data communication equipment.
  • Able to work in a high pressure, tight deadline, physically demanding work environment.
