The J.D. Irving Sawmills Division is currently seeking a motivated individuals to join our South Bay Chip Plant team in Saint John, NB as an Operations Supervisor

Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Minimum:Post-secondary diploma or trade certification in industrial technology, engineering, or a related field.
    • Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, forestry, or business administration
  • Experience:
    • Minimum:4+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
    • Preferred:Experience in industrial or sawmill operations.
  • Certifications:
    • Minimum:None required.
    • Preferred:Relevant safety or industry certifications.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Understanding of safety, quality, and environmental standards
    • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts
