Job description

Summary

MyMichigan Medical Center Sault has a unique opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the MyMichigan Hospital Medicine/Critical Care team in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. A strong focus of this inpatient role will be patient admissions management and complex medical care management with collaboration from remote ICU intensivists.

This position is 7 on, 7 off, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Candidates with inpatient experience are highly preferred. This APP must be able to handle high patient volumes and possess excellent communication and clinical skills. APPs will work in conjunction with hospitalist physicians.

There is a robust onboarding and training program, as well as a formal mentorship program.

Responsibilities

This position will require performing procedures such as paras, thoracentesis, TDC, chest tubes, lines, and medports.

Certifications and Licensures
  • AHA approved BLS certification
  • Active State of Michigan license or eligible to apply
Required Education
  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Experience preferred.
