Job description
Overview

Clear Hills Youth Treatment Centre (CHYTC) is inviting applications for a Casual or Part-Time Nurse.

Clear Hills Youth Treatment Centre (CHYTC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse to join our team on a casual or part-time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the health and wellness of youth in a treatment setting focused on healing, recovery, and cultural reconnection for youth from Indigenous backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have experience—or a strong interest—in working with youth ages 12–17 in a treatment environment. Youth may attend our program from anywhere in Canada. The nurse in this role will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, supervision, teaching, and counseling as part of a holistic approach to care.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide guidance, supervision, teaching, and counseling as part of holistic care for youth in treatment.
  • Support the health and wellness of youth within a program that emphasizes healing, recovery, and cultural reconnection.
Qualifications
  • Regulated healthcare provider in good standing.
  • Experience in mental health, addictions, youth care, or treatment settings is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a trauma-informed environment.
  • A Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and a Child Welfare Intervention Check will be required as part of the hiring process.

CHYTC is a treatment centre that supports up to 10 youth at a time, each with unique needs. We are located 5 minutes from Hythe, Alberta, and approximately 40 minutes from Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Our program integrates cultural recognition, ceremony, traditional practices, education, life skills, family involvement, and land-based teachings. CHYTC values collaboration, open communication, and aligns our work with the Seven Sacred Teachings and the Four Laws.

If you are passionate about inclusive, individualized care—and you want to be part of a team that emphasizes healing, prevention, and cultural reconnection—we encourage you to apply.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Resumes from applicants not selected will not be retained.
