Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Markham is seeking a Technical Lead in Instrumentation & Controls/Electrical. The candidate will provide technical leadership in the Ontario nuclear industry, manage engineering design teams, and ensure compliance with safety and design standards. Essential experience includes at least 5 years in I&C/Electrical engineering, with a track record at OPG or Bruce Power. This role offers a hybrid working model and has potential for full-time conversion after a 2-year contract.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of lead-level I&C/Electrical engineering experience in the nuclear industry.
• Experience leading projects at OPG and/or Bruce Power is mandatory.
• Expertise in nuclear design standards including CSA N285, N286 and N299 series.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical/I&C engineering design team.
• Develop design strategies, objectives, and processes.
• Coordinate with other departments for project integration.
• Conduct design reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Mentor and develop team members providing technical guidance.
