What you will be doing:
- Work with the Regional Management Team (RMT) to support new market initiatives and business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders (including governments and the public).
- Prepare estimating deliverables aligned with proposal strategies.
Preconstruction
- Act as a key contributor in project development to secure projects.
- Develop and execute project strategies meeting performance, schedule, and profitability targets.
- Assist in bid processes and communicate strategies to help win bids.
- Provide services including preliminary budgets, cost plans, and value engineering.
- Lead internal construction project start-up and contract partnering sessions.
- Establish Preconstruction in Progress (PIP) KPIs and provide monthly updates.
- Actively participate in scheduling, procurement planning, labour/equipment forecasts, logistics, risk registers, and execution planning.
- Develop milestone cost plans (schematic, design development, working drawings).
- Support constructability and value engineering reviews before tendering.
- Manage project budgets during design and oversee sub-trade tendering, risk assessment, and awards.
- Prepare SAP cost/productivity data uploads.
Construction
- Monitor labour, materials, and equipment tracking/forecasting.
- Conduct monthly Work in Progress (WIP) updates.
- Contribute to strategies ensuring performance, schedule, and profitability targets.
Post-Construction
- Conduct lessons learned sessions.
- Participate in contract reconciliation and project close-out reporting.
What you must have:
- Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
- Eligible for, or holder of, PQS, CET, or P.Eng designation.
- 6+ years of hands‑on nuclear estimating experience across delivery methods (lump sum, construction management, design‑build).
- Direct estimating experience on large‑scale projects ($100M+).
- Strong communication skills to engage teams, subtrades, consultants, and owners.
- Proficiency in estimating software.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and math skills with high accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Positive, collaborative approach with urgency and commitment to achieving goals.
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
Salary/ Rate Range:$180,000.00 – $185,000
