New Business Underwriter & Senior Existing Business Underwriter - Reading (Flexible Home Working)

New Business UW up to £36k & Senior UW up to £45k Plus Benefits

This is an exciting time to join one of the UK's most progressive and professional insurance companies. Due to the company's expansion plans, there are a number of new job opportunities, making it an ideal time to join the business with excellent chances for progression.

There are 2 roles within the Reading branch where experienced underwriters are sought, with flexible homeworking supported (1 to 2 days a week in the office or less).

1. Senior Mid-Market Existing Business Underwriter: You will handle an existing portfolio, requiring a strong underwriting background and experience with complex cases. The key objective is to focus on profitable growth and retaining your renewal portfolio while maintaining excellent service standards and building long-standing customer relationships. Salary is up to £45k plus excellent benefits.
2. Mid-Market New Business Underwriter: You will develop business and be an effective trader, building strong relationships with the broker panel. A proactive approach is essential. Salary is up to £36k plus excellent benefits.

For both roles, the right candidate will be approachable, confident, and capable of delivering outstanding service both internally and externally, over the telephone and face to face. The role will involve a range of external customer meetings, and you will need to be visible in the market frequently. Ideally, you should have existing broker relationships that can be utilized.
