The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and strategic leader to play a pivotal role in advancing science, technology, and innovation on a global scale. As National Executive Director, you will guide the future of Technion Canada by building and expanding a culture of philanthropy that fuels life-changing discoveries, strengthens Israel’s economy, and enhances the Technion’s global reputation.

You will lead a dedicated national team and work closely with an engaged Board of Directors, donors, and volunteers across Canada. Acting as the key bridge between Canadian supporters and Technion leadership in Israel, you will have a direct impact on advancing cutting-edge research in fields such as artificial intelligence, health sciences, sustainability, aerospace, and quantum technologies.

This is a high-profile leadership role for someone who thrives on developing meaningful relationships, inspiring philanthropy, and ensuring operational and financial excellence. It is also a rare chance to combine community leadership with global influence—connecting Canadian generosity to world-class innovation.

In this role, you will :

  • Lead major gift fundraising and secure transformational support
  • Build and steward relationships with donors, alumni, and strategic partners
  • Serve as the key ambassador to Technion leadership in Israel
  • Oversee organizational strategy, governance, operations, and financial health

  • A strong manager, skilled at engaging stakeholders at the highest levels
Required skills and experience
  • Minimum 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector
  • Demonstrated success in securing major and transformational gifts
  • Proven ability to cultivate, steward, and grow donor and partner relationships
  • Strong organizational leadership, governance, and financial management experience
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to inspire diverse audiences
  • Strategic thinker with experience developing and executing national-level initiatives
  • Familiarity with the Jewish community, Israel, or higher education advancement (an asset)

This position is based in Toronto (hybrid : in-office / virtual).
