About the Role

Educify is seeking passionate and reliable Music Teachers to join our growing team in the Ottawa–Gatineau area. This flexible position is perfect for musicians who enjoy teaching children and teens in a one-on-one setting. You may offer lessons in students' homes or from your own studio.

Teachers must be open to providing a free trial lesson and have a current Vulnerable Sector Check to ensure student safety and parental peace of mind.

We welcome teachers of piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, and other instruments who want to share their love of music with young learners.

Responsibilities

Teach private music lessons at students’ homes or at your own teaching studio

Provide a free trial lesson to new students (30–60 minutes)

Tailor lesson plans to meet each student’s learning needs and goals

Teach foundational skills including technique, theory, ear training, and repertoire

Track student progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularly

Foster a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning environment

Ensure punctuality and professional conduct at all times

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (private, studio, or school setting)

Proficiency in at least one instrument (piano, voice, guitar, violin, etc.)

Ability to travel within the Ottawa–Gatineau area, or host students at your own studio

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Must provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (or be willing to obtain one)

Willingness to offer a free trial lesson to new students

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

Degree or diploma in Music or equivalent formal training

Experience preparing students for RCM exams or recitals

Bilingual in English and French

Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
