JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Lady of Mercy Elementary is seeking a 40% Music Teacher and a 60% Educational Assistant, with a strong preference to combine these roles into one position.

We are looking for a Music Teacher who is passionate about Fine Arts and skilled in singing, piano, and guitar. Preference will be given to candidates with choral and band experience and those who have taught students across a range of grade levels.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication abilities, have experience working in within a team, excellent writing skills, and fluency in English. Additional preference will be given to applicants with experience supporting neurodiverse learners and the ability to adapt lessons to ensure successful integration.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
