What you’ll do
  • Operate, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC, mechanical and some electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operating results and extended life expectancy.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and minimize downtime by anticipating necessary repairs; keep records of past operating experiences.
  • Perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
  • Performance of ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, some electrical, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found and recommend actions to be taken.
  • Study and become familiar with equipment and methods required in daily activities, including HVAC, electrical, building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building equipment.
  • Maintain a strong customer satisfaction mindset and strive for an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain a strong health and safety mindset; comply with safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and report hazards with proposed mitigations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Willingness to support after-hours building-related activities as required.
  • Attend periodic training as required to support the business.
  • Other assigned operational tasks as may be expected of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.
What we’re looking for
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from a certified college.
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (RACM) or HVAC Certificate of Qualification required. Interprovincial/Red Seal Certification is an asset.
  • Gasfitter A or B required.
  • Canadian ODP Certification.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong background in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment repair and maintenance, and building system design.
  • Must meet security clearance requirements.
  • Tools required to perform assigned work scope will be provided.
  • On-call duties and overtime as required.

Estimated compensation for this position: 90,000.00 – 120,000.00 CAD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
