A global mining leader in Canada is seeking a Mine Operations Supervisor to provide frontline leadership at the Jansen Mine Site. The successful candidate will oversee daily work coordination, lead safety meetings, and ensure compliance within the underground mine environment. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in the mining sector, preferably with potash, and possess strong communication and leadership skills. This role includes a 7x7 work schedule, relocation assistance, and commitment to diversity.
About BHP Potash – Jansen
The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long‑term roles. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Work LocationThis role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role is 7x7 (7 days on, 7 days off, rotating day and night shifts).
For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts.
BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home‑finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
PurposeThe Mining Operations Supervisor provides frontline leadership to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of underground mining activities. The role oversees daily work coordination, leads operational and safety preparation, maintains geotechnical compliance, and applies risk‑management principles to support consistent, high‑quality performance outcomes.
