Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Maintenance Millwright for the Afternoon shift & Night Shift.
Afternoon Shift: $44.66 + $1.00 shift premium
Night Shift: $44.66 + $4.00 shift premium
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, repair, and maintain all production-related equipment.
- Provide troubleshooting and support during all downtime events.
- Comply with all necessary manufacturing practices, regulations, and standards, i.e., GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS, etc.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities as needed to improve asset health.
- Maintain detailed records of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Collaborate with the maintenance planner to improve preventative maintenance activities.
- Complete maintenance reports and logs as required.
- Ensure all production equipment is serviced as required.
- Monitor and adjust equipment to lower utility costs.
- Enforce established safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping policies and procedures to prevent injuries, lost production time, damage, and product contamination.
- Ensure work areas are always clean and hazard-free.
- Work safely and efficiently following legislated and company health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Millwright license with proof of apprenticeship.
- Able to perform routine machine shop practices (lathe & milling machine operations).
- Experience welding stainless steel using TIG and ARC.
- 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment (spiral ovens, freezers, formers, cartoners, tray pack machines, bread, and batter equipment).
- Continually improve equipment function via design improvements.
- Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
- Knowledge of appropriate health & safety and environmental regulations.
- Must have Ontario Millwright License.
