Your area of focus

A Inventory Merchandiser is responsible for managing and organizing the vehicle inventory at dealerships or auction sites. Their main tasks include ensuring vehicles are properly displayed, accurately labeled, and ready for sale or auction. They oversee the arrangement of vehicles to optimize space and appeal, conduct regular inventory audits, and track the movement of vehicles in and out of the inventory. Additionally, they may assist with photography for online listings, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with sales teams to ensure inventory aligns with customer demand and business goals.

What drives your day-to-day
  • Posting pictures of vehicles
  • Stocking them into our internal systems
  • Working closely with the sales and service managers to facilitate inventory movement
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the dealership’s inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of vehicles is available for sales and service departments.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of vehicles within the dealership.
  • Update inventory status, including new arrivals, sales, and transfers.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights to management.
  • Work closely with the sales, service, and finance departments to support inventory needs.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
  • Perform vehicle appraisals
  • Buy cars either from walk-in customers, online and/or auctions.
Must-haves
  • Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in the Automotive or Hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CDK computer operating system or similar systems would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately, clearly, and as intended.
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines.
  • Sound, practical business judgment, and a problem-solving, client focused, results oriented approach.
  • Excellent document creation, reviewing and proofreading skills with a high level of proficiency related to business correspondence and communications.
  • Process-oriented; superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Results-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in Canada
