About The Opportunity

The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs analytical tests and procedures offered by the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The technologist uses appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques, operating both manual and automated instruments. They work independently in emergency and weekend/night situations, operate computer‑integrated instruments, verify results against reference intervals, and exercise independent judgment on reportability. The job requires tact, sensitivity and effective professional communication, with strict adherence to patient confidentiality as required by the Medical Laboratory Technologist Code of Conduct.

About You

  • Graduated from an approved Medical Laboratory Technologist program
  • Licensed with NSCMLT or eligible
  • Registered with CSMLS

  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours

Permanent, Full‑Time / 100% / 75 Hours Bi‑weekly

Compensation & Benefits

$33.20 – $42.47 per hour
