Overview

Aerotek is hiring Mechanical Leads for our client in Richmond, BC. This is a full-time role reporting to the Mechanical Leader. The position involves leading a small team with hands-on experience, ideally in the marine industry.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage a 14-day plan for resources, materials, tools, and equipment for the team.
  • Collaborate with production and project managers to establish estimates, schedules, material orders, and production details.
  • Provide direction and work alongside the team, relaying information from the Mechanical Leader and Systems Leader.
  • Make recommendations for equipment, tools, processes, and supplies to enhance project quality and meet targets.
  • Ensure the overall safety of the team while enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure quality control measures are in place.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working as a Millwright or Mechanic (ideally in Marine)
  • 12 months of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and working with blueprints.
  • Ability to bend pipe.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience with hydraulic system installation and pressure testing.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
