Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Tackle a diverse portfolio of projects from initial concepts through to final fabrication and implementation
  • Lead engineering estimates, manage design budgets and schedules, and drive technical excellence while maintaining safety and quality
  • Create and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, equipment lists, calculations, reports, design criteria, and other documents
  • Maintain and adhere to applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices for all projects
  • Sign and Seal all final drawings, specifications, reports, and other documents prepared under your supervision
  • Mentor junior engineers, share your expertise, and help shape the future of the Engineering department
  • Coordinate with designers and the Fabrication Team to complete engineering projects
  • Develop solutions for issues that arise during Fabrication or Construction
What You Bring To The Table
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility through APEGS
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or mining projects would be considered an asset
  • Solid knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a knack for turning complex challenges into practical solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset
  • Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously; work well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
