What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Designer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for public sector infrastructure and building retrofit projects across Ontario. You’ll manage 5–6 active projects at a time, working alongside cross-functional teams and reporting directly to the Mechanical Department Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
  • Conduct on-site surveys and collect field data for retrofits and new builds
  • Perform condition assessments and prepare clear, thorough reports
  • Contribute to a wide range of public sector projects, including:
  • Transit infrastructure (rail, bus)
  • Emergency services buildings (fire, police, EMS)
  • Educational institutions (schools, universities)
  • Community centres and government buildings (municipal, provincial, federal)

Your Expertise
You are a technically skilled and organized designer or EIT with public sector experience, looking to grow your career through hands-on project management and client interaction.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Designer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated background in mechanical design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for public sector or institutional buildings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
  • Familiarity with relevant mechanical codes and design standards
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing environments
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits
