Job summary

A leading environmental company in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking a professional for field sample testing and asphalt laboratory analysis. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing.
  • Conduct asphalt laboratory testing per current NSPW requirements.
  • Perform laboratory testing on soil, aggregate and concrete samples.
  • Conduct field inspection and testing during placement operations.
  • Communicate results effectively with clients and supervisors.
  • Maintain proper records of field test results.
  • Promote health and safety rules of the company.

Your main responsibilities
  • Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing and/or holding.
  • Asphalt laboratory testing to match current NSPW requirements – Marshall Method and Superpave Method.
  • Laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, and Portland cement concrete samples according to the relevant ASTM, AASHTO, CSA or other applicable test standard.
  • Field inspection and testing during placement of aggregates, hot mix asphalt and Portland cement concrete. Note that extended stays at mobile site operations throughout Nova Scotia may be required based on project requirements.
  • Communicate results effectively with client and Englobe supervisor.
  • Maintain proper record of field test results for review and subsequent submissions.
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
