Our manufacturing client in the Shelburne area is seeking an experienced Materials/Shipping Manager to lead Production Support, Material Services, and Logistics within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage Material Services, Production Support, and Logistics teams (5-7 people) to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations
  • Develop and execute the annual departmental business plan, including projects, timelines, and budget ownership
  • Track performance against plan and budget, clearly communicating results, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership
  • Oversee customer shipping requirements, ensuring daily and future delivery commitments are met
  • Distribute customer forecasts and align production planning activities across departments
  • Manage inventory levels, including year-end inventory planning and reconciliation
  • Maintain and optimize materials planning and logistics systems to support operational excellence
  • Provide strong people leadership through coaching, performance management, development planning, and performance appraisals
  • Translate senior leadership direction into clear priorities for the team — and provide feedback upward as needed
  • Analyze trends, metrics, and operational data to recommend and drive continuous improvement initiatives

You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education (college or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive or comparable manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of materials, logistics, or production support experience
  • 3+ years in a people leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of materials planning, inventory management, production support, and logistics operations
  • Working knowledge of ISO-based management systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data-driven reporting
