Gensler’s Toronto office is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative professional to join our team as a Senior Marketing Specialist. An essential contributor to our business development efforts, Senior Marketing Specialists collaborate with office leadership, senior staff, and marketing and communications peers to write, design, and produce proposals, presentations, and other materials that help the firm win work. Reflecting Gensler Toronto’s depth of expertise, marketers support a range of practices—government, healthcare, work, strategy, education, sciences, residential, building transformation and adaptive reuse, brand design, climate action and sustainability, and more.

Your Role

As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will be a key partner to office leadership and market leaders in our public sector and healthcare practices across Canada. Your role will include business development strategy and leading our team through complex public sector and healthcare pursuits. You will use your knowledge of the market to recommend partnerships, connect to qualified consultants, and guide the team with win strategies for these pursuits.

What You Will Do

  • Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce compelling proposals, presentations, and other thought leadership collateral in alignment with Gensler’s brand standards
  • Lead business development strategy to track current success and preposition for future efforts
  • Develop an in-house network with your peers to share best practice and thought leadership
  • Lead pursuit strategy and planning alongside project teams
  • Develop new materials to support business development activities
  • Perform multiple marketing efforts against tight deadlines
  • Learn, understand, and promote Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and capabilities
  • Maintain marketing collateral, resources, and information systems

Your Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a marketing position within the AEC industry
  • Public sector experience is required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, Liberal Arts, Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail
  • Creative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective presentations and marketing collateral
  • Strong organizational skills to guide teams through complex pursuit processes, and to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Self-motivator with strong intra-personal skills, and a great collaborator
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with leadership
  • Mastery of InDesign is required; proficiency in Google Slides, Keynote, Miro, and CRM software is a plus
