Overview

Based in the Sarnia-Lambton region, we’re known for tackling complex, high-stakes projects with a commitment to quality, innovation, and above all — safety. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Manual Machinist to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills, to produce precision metal components.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements and sequence of operations.
  • Perform a wide range of machining operations such as threading, boring, facing, drilling, tapping, and surface grinding.
  • Select proper cutting tools, feeds, and speeds based on material and project requirements.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.) to inspect and verify conformance to tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to troubleshoot and solve machining or assembly issues.
  • Maintain and perform basic maintenance on machines and tools to ensure reliability and safe operation.
  • Ensure the correct fit, finish, and assembly of machined parts and subassemblies.
  • Document and report inspection data, deviations, and completed work in accordance with company and industry quality standards.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and legislation, including participation in regular safety training.
