Our passionate team of animal advocates is growing! St. Catharines Animal Hospital is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to join our team. Nestled in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, we have been rated one of the best three veterinary clinics for 6 consecutive years. Our progressive clinic strives to ensure that every pet that comes through the doors is treated as if they were our own.

At SCAH, we have a state-of-the-art facility that is well equipped with a full in-house lab, digital x-ray, dental digital x-ray, ultrasound, advanced electro-cautery machine, 6 IV digital pumps, and an advanced anesthesia monitor, supported by a strong team of technicians and assistants. With a combined 20 years of experience among our veterinarians, we offer advanced surgical procedures, dentistry, robust diagnostic capabilities, and more — all at an affordable cost to our loyal clientele!

Job Responsibilities
  • Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to and empathizing with their concerns.
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic / medical / surgical / dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
  • Maintains client / patient medical / surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
  • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
  • Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the public.
Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Canada.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
