Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager for Ottawa will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of a designated region. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage teams, clients, and stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Assume full accountability for the financial performance of a designated region, ensuring business plan targets and operational goals are achieved
• Report to the Operations Manager on financial performance, workload status, potential risks, legal matters, and emerging opportunities
• Resolve project-level legal and contractual disputes and escalate issues as required
• Establish and lead a management team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities across all operational functions
• Develop staff training, development, and succession plans for key positions within the department
• Approve expenditures and proposal pricing within established limits of authority
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients, stakeholders, and union partners
• Ensure all regional activities comply with corporate and divisional strategies, policies, procedures, and business plans
• Provide leadership and oversight to Superintendents and all field crews within the designated region
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required

What You Bring to the Team:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a combination of technical training and relevant industry experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Manager role
• Proven experience in the Utility Contracting Industry
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strong ability to resolve project issues and disputes independently
• Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments and stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel between Utilities yards as required
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project
• Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively under pressure

Salary: The expected salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
