What is the opportunity?

Product Control is the front-line finance function for Capital Markets. It’s an important control function primarily responsible for understanding, substantiating and reporting of Front Office trading PnL and balance sheets.

We are seeking a dynamic and strong individual to play a pivotal role in helping to navigate Product Control in the implementation of a new FTP (“Funds Transfer Pricing”) initiative as part of a multi-year project. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of the new FTP process by validating its accuracy, reconciling data, and providing confidence to stakeholders through thorough testing and analysis.

What will you do?
  • Be part of the project team to assist with the design, implementation, and execution of the new FTP framework for the bank's capital markets division within the Product Control processes.
  • Collaborate and coordinate cross‑functional teams (e.g., Treasury, IT, and Finance) to ensure timely and accurate implementation of new FTP process.
  • Act as a key point of contact on the FTP project on behalf of the global Product Control team.
  • Work closely with local Product Control teams across regions to understand their specific FTP reporting processes, challenges, and constraints.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across regional Product Control teams.
  • Provide ongoing support to local Product Control teams during the implementation phase, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of UAT test cases to validate the new FTP process and system functionality.
  • Pull large volumes of data from multiple systems (e.g., trading systems, general ledger, and FTP engines) for testing and reconciliation purposes.
  • Build detailed reconciliation frameworks to perform end‑to‑end testing of FTP from the calculation engine to the Product Control reporting system including subledger, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the defined methodology.
  • Investigate and resolve any variances identified during the reconciliation process, providing detailed explanations and supporting evidence.
  • Document the reconciliation process and results to provide transparency and auditability.
  • Ability to make a real impact to the bank and have decisions that will change how we do business.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have Requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools) and familiarity with SQL or other data extraction tools.
  • Some experience and strong overall understanding of Product Control activities, operations and linkages with other teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and collaborate effectively with people.
  • Ability to deal with problems that are not well defined and create clear and concise solutions with feedback from many users.
Nice‑to‑have
  • Experience working in projects.
  • Knowledge and experience working with FTP.
  • CA/CGA/CMA/CPA/CFA/MBA (Finance) or other accounting designation.
  • Experience working with Big Data to drive Business Driver insights and analytics.
