CNSC is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for over 28,000 employees. The role involves leading a team, ensuring payroll compliance, and driving continuous improvement in payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience and a Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification, coupled with strong technical and analytical skills.
Reporting to the Director of Payroll, the Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll function supporting over 28,000 employees across Canada. You’ll lead a team in a dynamic environment, ensuring all payroll activities are processed accurately and on time.

Your expertise in payroll compliance and system management will be key as you implement best practices, resolve payroll issues, and drive continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
As the Payroll Manager, you will plan payroll activities, allocate resources according to operational priorities, and supervise and develop your team to meet organizational goals. You’ll review and approve payroll data, ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and handle year-end processing including tax slips and audit preparation.
You will also identify and resolve payroll-related issues, collaborate on management reporting, and contribute to strategic departmental initiatives that evolve our payroll information systems.
