Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Manager,Mining Engineering to help shape and lead long-range mine planning for a fast-growing mining company focused on underground assets. With sites ramping up production, this role is critical to ensuring consistent, technically sound mine plans that align with corporate strategy and support safe, sustainable operations.

Based in the Vancouver corporate office, this position provides technical oversight across sites and plays a key part in building out the corporate technical services team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and integration of long-range mine plans for all mining assets
  • Define and manage corporate mine design criteria and planning standards
  • Oversee the production and reporting of mineral reserves
  • Ensure site-level plans align with life-of-mine strategies
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Mineral Resources and exploration teams to support resource-to-reserve conversion
  • Provide technical support to site-based engineering teams
  • Review and validate engineering assumptions across sites
  • Support audits and technical reviews for corporate reporting
Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of underground mine engineering experience
  • Proven experience with long-range planning and reserve estimation
  • Strong understanding of mine design, sequencing, and economic evaluation
  • Comfortable liaising between corporate and site-based teams
  • Eligible for work in Canada; relocation not required but quarterly travel to sites expected
Remuneration

Competitive salary with benefits. Target compensation in the $140,000 to $150,000 range, depending on experience.
