Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance team and overseeing the operation, safety, and longevity of all club facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role provides daily direction, sets priorities, and ensures work is delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to club operations.

Position Responsibilities
  • Hiring & Team Leadership
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard maintenance staff with the right skills and cultural fit.
    • Provide clear direction and daily supervision to ensure safe and efficient operations.
    • Conduct daily in-person check-ins with the team to review priorities and resolve bottlenecks.
    • Send daily shift setups via Teams for both AM and PM shifts.
    • Post work schedules, review and approve staff hours, and submit payroll.
    • Conduct quarterly team meetings to review performance, goals, and priorities.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for skill development.
    • Build a positive, accountable team culture focused on service excellence.
    • Coordinate training to maintain certifications and compliance with safety standards.
    • Manage shift coverage, scheduling conflicts, and leave requests.
    • Recognize achievements and maintain high levels of team engagement.
  • Work Scheduling & Task Management
    • Schedule preventative, reactive, and project-related tasks in the CMMS.
    • Assign work orders to team members based on skills and availability in the CMMS.
    • Ensure equipment and supplies are available for task completion.
    • Monitor and resolve overdue work orders in a timely manner.
    • Maintain the work order tracking system with accurate asset and service documentation.
    • Prioritize emergency repairs and urgent maintenance requests.
    • Coordinate scheduling to minimize disruption to club operations and member activities.
  • Maintenance Planning & Implementation
    • Develop comprehensive maintenance plans for club equipment, facilities, and landscaping.
    • Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend asset life and reduce downtime.
    • Establish maintenance standards and procedures for consistent execution.
    • Track equipment performance and inspections; recommend upgrades or replacements when needed.
    • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure compliance with warranties and service requirements.
  • Facility Closure & Operational Projects
    • Budget, schedule, and execute maintenance closures and projects as needed.
