A reputable insurance company is seeking a Manager for Data Enablement to lead data stewardship initiatives and ensure effective governance practices. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field. This hybrid role offers flexibility and the opportunity to enhance data literacy across the organization. Responsibilities include developing governance policies, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving continuous data improvement initiatives.
We offer a hybrid work environment that offers flexibility to our employees in balancing in-office (2 days per week OR 15 hours per week in a Wawanesa office) and remote work. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Manager, Data Enablement plays a pivotal role in contributing to Wawanesa's success by creating effective partnerships with cross-functional teams and various data streams. Their primary objective is to create, oversee, and monitor adherence to data governance policies. This individual serves as a catalyst for change, championing the adoption of data governance and stewardship principles throughout the organization's business units. In addition to this, they play a pivotal role in elevating data literacy levels across the organization and cultivating a culture that emphasizes the value of data.
